The Artist
James Lynwood Palmer was a British portrait painter active in the early 20th century, known for his detailed and expressive depictions of military and equestrian subjects. His work often captured the dignity and precision of military life, and “Twister” is a fine example of his ability to convey both the horse’s athleticism and the human element of the rider.
